WILDCAT KITTENS & CATS IN FOSTER CARE

Are you looking to add a new feline friend to your family? Check below for our current kitties being fostered by Alyssa and Kyle!

Why A Foster Kitten/Cat

Carolina P.A.W.S is a local rescue that relies solely on foster families and does not have a stand-alone shelter. Animals are often scared and not them true selves in a shelter, so it’s hard to know how the animal would fit into your family or what unique quirks they have. Foster families not only socialize the animals, but also learn their personalities to help ensure a great match with potential adopters.

How We Got Started

Alyssa and Kyle began their fostering adventure together in the summer of 2017 when a young mother cat and her four kittens were found on a friend’s family farm. It was the height of kitten season and rescues were bursting at the seams. Finally, a local rescue – Carolina P.A.W.S. – agreed to help. Two of these kittens were “foster fails,” as Kyle had fallen in love with little Arnold (Palmer) and Amelia (Earhart) and couldn’t let them go! The rest of the feline family went on to find amazing homes – one even flew to Boston to live with Kyle’s cousin! Since then, Alyssa and Kyle have helped socialize, nurse back to health, and find permanent homes for over 25 cats and kittens through Carolina P.A.W.S.

Current Wildcats

Say hello to the flower girls! Camellia, Magnolia, and Azalea are only four weeks old but have already endured so much. These poor kittens were caught in a mouse glue trap and taken away from their mother much too early. Fortunately, after many gentle baths and some loss of fur, the kittens were freed from the painful glue. The girls are now safe in a foster home being bottle fed and learning to eat on their own. Despite what they've been through, Camellia, Magnolia, and Azalea are full of love and cuddles. The beautiful flower girls will be ready for adoption in a few weeks after healing and growing a bit more. If you’re interested in adopting one (or more!) of these cuties, you can see their full biographies and information on adopting at carolinapaws.com.

Adopted!

Meet Taco, Chips, and Salsa! This is one cute fiesta of kittens. These three brothers are all domestic shorthairs born around 11/22/2020. They have recently entered foster care and are quickly realizing how nice it is to have a warm, safe place to sleep and play. Taco (grey) likes to pretend he’s independent, but as soon as you start petting him, the purrs come out! Chips is a snuggle bug who wants more, more, more when holding him. Salsa is a fun little guy that loves to chase anything sparkly!
